Knutsford care home celebrates dedicated colleagues

A care home in Knutsford has honoured its long‑serving team members with a special event.

Care UK’s Cranford Grange, on Hall Lane in Mobberley, hosted a celebration for 17 colleagues who have collectively dedicated 238 years of service to the home.

Each team member has devoted more than a decade, with some having been part of the home since it opened its doors 18 years ago.

Held in the parlour, the event brought together residents and family members for an afternoon of fun and celebration. Guests were treated to champagne and canapés on arrival to the home decorated with balloons.

Each long‑serving team member was presented with a gift package, including a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of bubbly to recognise their achievements and mark their ongoing commitment to resident care.

Chef Helen Leadbeater, who is the home’s longest-serving team member, said: “I absolutely love chatting with the residents and their families, especially when they tell me how much they enjoy my cakes. It truly means the world to me. 

“Cranford Grange is somewhere I would happily have my own family members spend their final years, if needed. The team are wonderful and genuinely caring. It feels like one big family. I love everything about my job and feel proud to have been here since the very beginning.”

Cranford Grange provides residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care. The home incorporates plenty of space for leisure activities and hobbies, including its own cinema, pub and hair and beauty salon. The building has been configured into a series of neighbourhoods to facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage interaction among the residents.
