Maidstone care home rated one of the best in Kent

A Maidstone care home is celebrating after achieving a flawless 10 out of 10 score on the UK’s leading care home review platform.

Care UK’s Invicta Court, on Gidds Pond Way, has now received 100 reviews on carehome.co.uk – where residents, relatives and visitors share honest feedback scored out of 10. The home’s perfect rating places it among the top performing care homes not only in Maidstone, but across the Kent region.

The care home is known for its commitment to enabling residents to enjoy a purposeful and uplifting lifestyle. Invicta Court provides daily group and one-to-one activities, a bi-weekly cinema club, and a Wishing Tree initiative that encourages residents to put wishes forward to reconnect with a past hobby or try something completely new.

Invicta Court earned the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award, highlighting exceptional end-of-life care for residents and support for their families, and is officially a ‘Veteran Friendly Framework’ accredited care home, recognising its best practice and highest standards of care for the Armed Forces community.

With a score of 10, the highest possible rating, 100 per cent of reviewers for Invicta Court rated the care home as ‘excellent’.

One review said: “...Visiting Invicta Court to see my friend is always a heartwarming experience. From the moment I walk through the doors, I’m greeted with genuine smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly puts everyone at ease. The management and their teams go above and beyond to make every visitor feel included, and it's clear that kindness and compassion are at the heart of everything they do. The staff are caring, attentive, and committed to the wellbeing of the residents. You can see the bonds they build, treating each person with dignity and warmth. It's not just professional care; it's heartfelt support that makes Invicta Court feel like a real community. Well done everyone. It's reassuring to know my friend is surrounded by such kindness.”

Another review said: “After an operation I spent three weeks in Invicta Court care home and words cannot express my thanks and appreciation adequately. The nursing care was excellent, and all the staff were genuinely concerned about my wellbeing; they were so supportive. The laundry service was first class. Clothes were returned quickly and nothing went missing. The relaxing pampering sessions were great fun. My visitors were made welcome and we all enjoyed coffee and cakes in the cafe. The positive, happy atmosphere contributed to my recovery. I have no hesitation in recommending Invicta Court wholeheartedly.”

Another said: “The team and facilities at Invicta Court have exceeded our expectations. We faced the unfortunate situation of my father being taken seriously ill and needed to arrange palliative care at short notice. Fortunately, there was a space available and after a quick engagement process with Jaime and the team, we were able to move Dad from the hospital into the care home. They have liaised brilliantly with both the hospital and hospice, and the staff give Dad the comfort, care and support he needs at this difficult time. The whole family knows that he is in good hands.”

Sara Barbosa, Home Manager at Care UK’s Invicta Court, said: “We were over the moon to find out that Invicta Court has been rated one of the best in Kent. This is a brilliant achievement and a perfect testament to the team’s continuous hard work.

"I couldn't be more pleased with the warm and welcoming environment we have created. I am incredibly appreciative of everyone here for their ongoing commitment to helping residents to enjoy enriching experiences. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped make Invicta Court such a lovely place to call home.”

Invicta Court has also been shortlisted for the Dementia Friendly Kent Awards in the Most Inspiring Dementia Care Provider category, with the winner to be announced in May. The award recognises services that deliver meaningful emotional and practical support for people living with dementia and their families, demonstrating strong engagement with best practice initiatives to enhance care quality.

Invicta Court offers a permanent residential, dementia and nursing care and short-term respite care in luxurious surroundings, ensuring that residents can lead active and fulfilling lives. The home has its very own café, hair and beauty salon, bar and cinema room, and the highly trained, professional team deliver an excellent standard of person-centred care.
