Team members at a care home in Aberdeen have raised £2,280 for national dementia charity.
Seven dedicated team members from Care UK’s Tor-Na-Dee, on North Deeside Road in Milltimber, put their best foot forward to complete the annual Kilt Walk to fundraise for Alzheimer’s Scotland.

Dressed in their very best kilts, the team walked the 18-mile Mighty Stride, starting in Bellfield Park in Banchory and ending in Aberdeen.
They raised £1,140 – a figure that Care UK matched to bring the grand total to £2,280, which will help the charity provide advice, information and support for thousands more people living with dementia.
The impressive total was made possible thanks to donations from friends, family members, colleagues, residents, and visitors to Tor-Na-Dee.
Sue Jones-Wood, Home Manager at Tor-Na-Dee, said: “I am incredibly proud of the team for smashing the £1,000 target and raising an amazing sum for such a vital charity.
“Alzheimer's Scotland is extremely close to everyone’s hearts here at Tor-Na-Dee. One in three people born in the UK today will be diagnosed with dementia in their lifetime*, which is why it’s important for us to raise funds for such an important cause.
“I’d like to extend a huge thank you to those who took part, to everyone who donated and to Care UK for matching everyone’s fantastic donations.”
Tor-Na-Dee provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care. Designed to enable residents to lead enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the care home has its very own cinema, hair and beauty salon and gardens, and there is plenty of space – both indoors and out – for relaxation and recreation.
