A colourful and vibrant celebration has been held at a care home in Wilmslow to mark LGBTQ+ Pride.
Care UK’s Long Stone Manor, on Manchester Road, was the place to be with rainbow flags and feather boas as residents welcomed the community for an afternoon filled with glitz, glamour and laughter.

With the sun shining, the team hosted a very special barbecue served up by the home’s talented Head Chef, Oli Jackson, which included burgers and hot dogs.
Accompanying this was a range of activities for residents to enjoy, including face painting, singing and dancing, all designed to celebrate the spirit of inclusivity, love, diversity and community. The team also welcomed Wilmslow Pride to celebrate the occasion with residents.
Resident Anne Harries said: “I loved the party atmosphere on the day and everyone looked great!”
Laura Foster, Home Manager at Long Stone Manor, said: “We had a ball celebrating Pride and flying the rainbow flag here in Wilmslow.
“At Long Stone Manor, we’re dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive environment for everyone, and celebrating Pride is just one of the many ways we show our support for the LGBTQ+ community.
“The energy was infectious, and it was incredible to see everyone singing, laughing and enjoying the day. A big thank you to Oli for serving up a delicious barbecue, Wilmslow Pride and to everyone who joined us!”
