Sarah Tucker

Home Manager

Sarah Tucker

With 16 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, I have worked in various settings, including hospitals, community health, and social care.

Caring has always been my passion, and I find joy in making a positive difference in people’s lives. Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of individual needs, which shapes my approach to care.

As a Home Manager, I focus on providing personalised, person-centred care for our residents. I am dedicated to building strong relationships with staff, families, and stakeholders, as collaboration is essential for delivering exceptional care. Inspiring others and fostering a supportive culture within our team is important to me.

At Albany Lodge, your well-being is our top priority. We invite you to visit and explore our home at any time. Our goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where you feel valued and respected. We look forward to welcoming you and ensuring your stay with us is fulfilling and enjoyable.

Lifestyle Lead

I have more than three years' experience delivering person-centred activities in residential and dementia care and was honoured to receive a Hearts of Gold Award for my work. I love creating opportunities that help residents stay active, connected and engaged, whether through music, sensory experiences or community involvement. Seeing residents smile, grow in confidence and reconnect with treasured memories is what inspires me every day. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family, travelling, music, dancing and supporting community events.

Head Chef

I've worked in catering for many years and hold a professional cookery degree. Before joining the care sector, I built my experience in restaurants, creating high-quality dishes, and for the last 15 years I've brought those skills into care industry hospitality. I love seeing residents enjoy the meals we prepare and take great pride in delivering nutritious, restaurant-quality food tailored to individual tastes. Outside work, you'll often find me enjoying a countryside walk or a round of golf.

Our experienced teams

Every day Care UK colleagues live our values of passionate, caring and teamwork to empower residents to enjoy fulfilling lives.

Carers

Our hardworking teams always keep individuals and their families at the heart of the care they provide. We work with you to shape the care your loved one receives, the food they’re served, the activities and experiences they want to do – even the ways they prefer to keep in touch with their friends and family.

Nurses

The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.

Lifestyle

Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.

Home support roles

From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.

All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes.

Infection control

Every colleague receives training in infection prevention and control as part of their induction and updates regularly through online and in-person learning. Our dedicated IPC Champions in each home help embed safe working practices and raise awareness of hygiene standards.
