Our lifestyle team pride themselves on organising fun activities, entertainment and outings for residents.
We host pamper afternoons in our beauty treatment room. We run cocktail masterclasses in the café, and screen movies or big events in the cinema. We’ve had spring animals visit us, and transformed one of our dining rooms into a fine dining fish restaurant. Then there was Amble-Fest, our own version of a summer festival, and our incredible circus event. It’s safe to say, life is different at Ambleside!
A community focus
Since we opened our doors in 2013, we’ve forged close ties with local groups and organisations in Stratford-upon-Avon. Residents enjoy the regular visits from local entertainers, volunteers and schoolchildren and we regularly host our own events too.
It’s good to have a change of scene now and again, and we regularly get out and about in our minibus for lunch at nearby garden centres or local pubs, for ten pin bowling or to explore one of the many wonderful stately homes in our area. Ambleside is only a short distance from the bustling historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon – birthplace of William Shakespeare. There’s good shopping, lovely cafes, boat trips and plenty to see and do in the town.
Enjoying green spaces
However, we don’t need to go far to enjoy beautiful views and fresh air. Our care home has stunning landscaped grounds, wonderful countryside views and plenty of space to explore, including a courtyard, pergola, gazebo, wildflower garden, a pitch and putt course, plus wheelchair accessible pathways.
Our Facebook page is the perfect way to keep up-to-date with the latest goings-on at Ambleside care home.
