Our lifestyle team pride themselves on organising fun activities and entertainments for residents.
We have hosted pamper afternoons in our beauty salon, run cocktail masterclasses in the café, and transformed one of our dining rooms into a fine dining fish restaurant. During the summer months, we have hosted Amble-Fest, our own version of a summer festival, and our incredible circus event. It’s safe to say, life is different at Ambleside!
Your day, your choice
Your day will be designed around you. We have our own lifestyle team who organise and run daily group and one-to-one activities around your hobbies and interests.
We offer a unique mix of socially distanced group activities ranging from quizzes and exercise classes, to gardening, baking, music sessions and film afternoons.
And if you miss the familiar household tasks of folding laundry, laying the table for lunch, or helping in the garden, you’re welcome to continue doing them here.
Take a look at our video which shows the type of lifestyles residents enjoy at Ambleside
Our Facebook page is regularly updated with photos of what residents have been up to. You can ‘like’ the page to stay in touch with what residents and the team are doing.
Ambleside is only a short distance from the bustling historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon – birthplace of William Shakespeare. We’re looking forward to being able to enjoy the lovely shops, cafes and boat trips again one day.
Enjoying green spaces and seaside memories
However, we don’t need to go far to enjoy beautiful views and fresh air. Our care home is set in stunning and expansive landscaped grounds, with wonderful countryside views and plenty of space to explore, including a courtyard, pergola, gazebo, wildflower garden, a pitch and putt course. We have transformed one of our balconies with a seaside theme so residents can always ‘be beside the sea’, which features a brightly coloured bench and planters, bunting, a striped parasol and an incredibly realistic mural. Residents are now busy creating a countryside theme for our second balcony
Since we opened our doors in 2013, we’ve forged close relationships with local groups and organisations in Stratford-upon-Avon, including Bidford Rotary, Solihull & Warwickshire Blood Bikers, and Bidford Dementia Café. We can’t wait to welcome Monster Mischief Children’s nursery, Welford Brownies and Stratford Scouts back into Ambleside.
