Catia Pereira

My role requires a blend of leadership, empathy, and strong organisational skills to maintain high standards of care and ensure the smooth running of the home.

I bring over 13 years of clinical experience in healthcare, during which I have had the privilege of working in a variety of care settings. My background includes acute nursing, community care, palliative care, dementia care, and care management.

For the past 12 years, I have worked predominantly in nursing homes. Throughout my career, I have remained deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care that truly enhances the lives of residents.

I am passionate about maintaining high standards and making a positive difference to the day-to-day experiences of our residents. My goal is to create an environment that is not only safe and supportive but also enriching and joyful.

Outside of work, I live in Wokingham and regularly visit Henley-on-Thames with my partner. I particularly enjoy the town’s historic charm, cultural attractions, natural beauty, and strong sense of community.

I have worked at Huntercombe Hall for more than seven years, beginning as a Carer before moving into activities.

I love creating meaningful experiences that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection for residents. Seeing residents smile, enjoy themselves and feel valued is what makes my role so rewarding.

Outside work, I treasure spending time with my family and grandchildren.

Getting to know residents and hearing their stories is one of the most rewarding parts of my role. Outside work, I enjoy travelling, football and spending time with my grandchildren.

With more than 40 years of maintenance experience, I take pride in helping maintain our beautiful historic home.

I especially enjoy chatting with residents and hearing about their experiences and achievements throughout life. Outside work, I enjoy golf, travelling and spending time with my family.

Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.

Home support roles

From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.

All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes. 

Infection control

Every colleague receives training in infection prevention and control as part of their induction and updates regularly through online and in-person learning. Our dedicated IPC Champions in each home help embed safe working practices and raise awareness of hygiene standards.
