Meet our friendly care team

It is the people who make our home a truly happy and caring one, and at Maids Moreton Hall our experienced team of dedicated professionals all undergo our in-depth training programme. The whole team works to make sure that residents' needs are at the heart of everything they do and that personalised care is always provided.

loana Almasan

General Manager

loana Almasan

I joined the home in early 2019, I am very proud to now be leading the team here.

I’m a trained nurse, so ensuring the highest standards of care is something I’m personally very passionate about. We treat every resident at Maids Moreton Hall as an individual, and we work hard to understand their unique background, abilities, experiences and needs.

I also believe in ensuring every person’s family is involved in their care, and I enjoy building strong relationships with family members so they feel involved and able to talk to me about anything.

We have a wonderfully warm and caring team who ensure every day is rewarding for the people we care for. I love midway through the afternoon when there’s usually an activity taking place, and everyone’s happy. When I see the smiles on residents’ faces, it makes me happy.

Simona Aldea
Deputy Manager

I’m a Registered General Nurse and was delighted to join the Maids Moreton Hall team in 2022. Care UK is a well respected care provider that supports residents to live the best life and supports colleagues to learn and progress, which is why I wanted to work here.

Our team have the skills and drive to become future leaders and I relish supporting them to achieve their potential. When colleagues are happy and supported, they deliver the best care – something else I’m passionate about. I enjoy working with residents and relatives, putting them at the heart of care. Relatives are vital to their loved one’s care, and I liaise with them to ensure they’re kept up-to-date with everything we’re doing, and how their loved one is.

Maids Moreton Hall is a wonderful place to work. Here all colleagues, residents and relatives are like one big family – we have the same goals. The home team works brilliantly together to ensure everything we do is about delivering the best to residents and their families.

Andrea Bullen
Home Admissions Advisor

When I first walked into the home I was given the warmest welcome and had an overwhelming feeling of belonging. My job here is to ensure that anyone looking for care for their loved ones has that same feeling and I am here to help them with their own personal journey. There is nothing that I like better than driving around our beautiful countryside with my husband on our mission to find the best Sunday roast! I also love walking in the countryside with my mischievous cockerpoo Baxter.

Sam Grant
Head Chef

I have been a Chef for over thirteen years. During my career, I have been fortunate enough to work in some lovely hotels across the Cotswolds and I've been taught by some incredible chefs who have worked right at the top of the industry in restaurants such as Claridges and L'escargot. I am a 'foody' - I love all cuisines and there is almost nothing I don't like eating. I thoroughly enjoy working on and teaching people in all areas of the kitchen including pastry. I have worked here at the home now since 2016.

Wendy Melendez
Home Administrator

I have been the Home Administrator here since 2019. I have worked in social care and private care in the community for nearly 20 years. I bring my years of experience from the care sector, supporting residents, families and the team.

Jane Bowman
Bar Bistro Manager

I am Jane and I am the Bar/Bistro Manager here. I really enjoy my job and I like socialising with the residents and their families. I feel I have a great impact on their lives as I am a happy-go-lucky person and help to put a smile on all their faces.

Cindy Paterson
Head Housekeeper

I am the Head Housekeeper at the home. I thoroughly enjoy my role, myself and my team do our absolute best to keep the home clean, and to a good standard.

Toni Thorne
Receptionist

I have worked here since the opening in late 2012. I have been fortunate to have had many roles within the home, including in the kitchen and activity teams. I am now working on reception/admin and enjoy meeting and greeting people. I also enjoy the interaction with the residents as they pass by. I am always on hand to help with you any enquiries.

Our experienced teams

Every day Care UK colleagues live our values of passionate, caring and teamwork to empower residents to enjoy fulfilling lives.

Carers

Our hardworking teams always keep individuals and their families at the heart of the care they provide. We work with you to shape the care your loved one receives, the food they’re served, the activities and experiences they want to do – even the ways they prefer to keep in touch with their friends and family.

Nurses

The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.

Lifestyle

Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.

Home support roles

From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.

All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes.

Infection control

Each of our homes have a trained Infection Control and Prevention Champion – they are responsible for carrying out daily infection control audit and ensuring cleaning protocols are meticulously applied.
