Ambleside is opening its doors to the local community for a special celebration to mark the upcoming royal wedding.
On Saturday 19th May from 12pm Ambleside is inviting local people for a ‘right royal knees up’ and to raise a glass to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The home will be adorned with union jack bunting and residents will have their British flags at the ready for a live screening of the wedding. Guests will also be able to toast the happy couple with a glass of bubbly and enjoy a lemon and elderflower wedding cake, made specially by Ambleside’s chefs.
Clare Mudge, home manager at Ambleside, said: “We were all so excited when we heard there was to be another royal wedding, and knew we had to do something to celebrate!
“Here at Ambleside, many of the residents have fond memories of the royal family and the many weddings and celebrations over the years, so this is a brilliant opportunity to reminisce and share stories from the past.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the people of Stratford-upon-Avon to the home and to toasting the happy couple on what promises to be a wonderful day of celebrations.”
