Amy makes the front page!

November 18th 2011

Cheviot Court resident Amy Smith was front page news when she celebrated her 107th birthday.

The celebrations included a telegram from the Queen a visit from the deputy mayor interviews by the local media and lots of fun with a special party which included a buffet and a singer.

Friends and relatives including her son Alf and his wife joined the festivities and there was also a special cake and flowers to mark the occasion.

Amy, a former entertainer who still enjoys singing celebrated her birthday with a glass of her favourite Baileys.
