Trusted to care in South Shields
At Cheviot Court we offer high quality residential and dementia care in a warm, welcome and homely setting.
Residents can enjoy relaxing in our large, landscaped garden, and keen gardeners are always welcome to help keep everything looking lovely. Some of our ground floor bedrooms open directly onto our gardens, and many upstairs have pleasant views of the Cleadon Hills. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, modern furniture, a television connection and a 24-hour nurse call system.
Cheviot Court has a range of shared spaces for your loved one to relax in, including different lounges, and a TV and music area.
Residents, relatives and colleagues at Cheviot Court are like one big family. We organise regular activities and outings, but there’s always someone popping in to chat to residents, and visitors are welcome at any time, day or night. We also like to be spontaneous, with a singing or dancing session, or a quick outing.
Different care homes provide different types of care. At Cheviot Court we always assess every prospective new resident before they join us, so we know we can provide them with the care they need.Read more

I like to think of the residents and staff at Cheviot Court as one big family – it certainly feels that way to me. Seeing residents smiling and happy at the end of the day is such a huge reward for me. And I love to see how much support and encouragement residents get from their families too.Louise DammsHome Manager
