What others have to say

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Cheviot Court care home.

The team know my loved one very well and they understand how to get the best out of her. She can be a bit of a handful when she wants to be but they know exactly how to speak to her and when to just let her be. Even when she is being challenging, her wellbeing is their only concern, they never react to her and they are always incredibly patient and kind with her. The activities coordinator is terrific, she pulls out all the stops for birthday parties and she has endless energy, there's always something interesting going on for the residents and she's been instrumental in helping my loved one to get more involved with things.

My loved one didn't want to go into a care home but she absolutely loves it! She really enjoying participating in all the events, they have exercise classes and all sorts of things to keep everyone active and engaged. The team are very kind and they look after her like she is a family member. We have a good relationship with the home and they always keep as informed of any issues. She was poorly a while ago and they kept us up to date about her condition from day to day.

Relative of a resident, April 2026

The team is very attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them. You hear horror stories about people with dementia being left in a corner but the team have been wonderful with my loved one. They spend time with her, they talk with her and listen to what she has to say, they encourage her to stay active and make the most of her time. I walked in the other day and the activities lady was singing with her, it was just so lovely to see.

Relative of a resident, December 2025

The level of care is exemplary and every positive review I have read about the home has been proven to be correct. The team is exceptionally well trained and they demonstrate great skill in dealing with residents living with dementia. There is always someone available to speak with about my loved one whenever I visit, and the manager's door is always open.

Relative of a resident, December 2025

The care team is really great, and the home provides a lot of activities to keep residents active and engaged. They understand my loved one's condition… they are mindful of her behaviour and her limitations, and they know how to get the best out of her.
