Bromsgrove Men in Sheds share the love with Chandler Court this Christmas

Chandler Court has received an early Christmas present from Bromsgrove Men in Sheds, as a thank you for supporting the Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest’s Shed Share sponsorship scheme. 

Residents and team members at Chandler Court were delighted to welcome members of Bromsgrove’s Men in Sheds group, to join its festive celebrations.

As a thank you for sponsoring their ‘Shed Share’, the group asked residents what new addition they’d like in the garden, and resident Beryl Ellis suggested a new bench. The shedders then set to work on ‘Beryl’s Love Seat’ – a two-seater wooden bench.

Beryl’s Love Seat now has pride of place in the home’s garden, ready to be enjoyed by all the residents. 

Beryl, who moved into Chandler Court in April, said: “I was so excited when I heard the Men in Sheds were making a special bench for me.”

Jo Hughes, marketing executive at Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest, commented: “We are thrilled to have the sponsorship of Chandler Court and wanted to say thank you for their support this year. When Beryl asked for a new bench, we were delighted to work on ‘Beryl’s Love Seat’, and to see her reaction when we unveiled it was unforgettable. 

“We would like to say a big thank you to our friends at Chandler Court for their support this year and we’re looking forward to visiting the home again in 2019.”
