Following the popularity of the ‘planning care for the future’ event held at Winchcombe Place at the end of last year, a second free event will take place on Thursday 14 May, giving local people the opportunity to find out more about funding long-term care for their loved ones.
From 11am to 12.30pm, chartered financial planner, Andrew Page, will return to Winchcombe Place to share his knowledge and provide practical guidance on the options available to those who may be funding care in the future – whether caring for a loved one in their own home or looking at care homes.
Home manager, Denise Cleaver, said: “We had such a fantastic response to our first ‘planning care for the future’ event and we received some great anecdotal feedback from attendees, so we are delighted to be joining forces with Andrew once again. There is clearly a demand in Newbury and beyond for expert advice on the provision of care – particularly when it comes to the subject of funding – and, with the UK having an ageing population, this matter is going to become increasingly relevant for far more people.
