Heather View is opening its doors to the local community for a special celebration to mark the upcoming royal wedding.
On Saturday 19th May from 11am-12pm and 2.30pm-4.30pm, Heather View is inviting local people for a ‘right royal knees up’ and to raise a glass to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The home will be adorned with union jack bunting and residents will have their British flags at the ready for a live screening of the wedding. The care team has also organised a morning sherry at 11am and ‘street party’ celebration from 2.30pm with a champagne toast to the newlyweds and a delicious afternoon tea prepared by Heather View’s chefs.
Natasha King, home manager at Heather View, said: “We were all so excited when we heard there was to be another royal wedding, and knew we had to do something to celebrate!
“Here at Heather View, many of the residents have fond memories of the royal family and the many weddings and celebrations over the years, so this is a brilliant opportunity to reminisce and share stories from the past.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the people of Crowborough to the home and to toasting the happy couple on what promises to be a wonderful day of celebrations.”
