Muriel Street is inviting local people to visit the home to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
On Friday 20th April, from 12pm-4pm, the team at Muriel Street will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Muriel Street has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include stalls for guests to browse including a cake sale, a bring-and-buy sale, clothes stalls and raffle. For younger guests, there will be face painting, and a host of fun games. There will also be live entertainment to get everyone in the party spirit.
Tom Parry, deputy manager at Muriel Street, added: “At Muriel Street, we’re always looking for ways to get to know our neighbours better and build relationships with the local community. Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of bringing generations together for a fun-filled day, showcasing all that the home has to offer.”
