Oak House is inviting local people to visit the home to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
On Friday 20th April, from 2.30pm – 4pm, the team at Oak House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Oak House has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a celebratory tea dance, a traditional afternoon tea and live entertainment to get everyone into the party spirit.
Julie Bignell, home manager at Oak House, said: “Care Home Open Day provides residents and the team with a fantastic opportunity to welcome the local community into home. There is already a buzz around the home, as residents prepare for the big day.
“We hope that the people of Slough will join us in celebrating the Queen’s birthday and making this year’s Care Home Open Day one to remember.”
