It was a day of celebrations fit for a queen at Queen’s Court when it invited the local community in for a special open day.
The team at Queen’s Court welcomed the people of Windsor to enjoy Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative set up to develop lasting relationships between care homes and local communities, and to dispel common myths about care home life.
Residents and visitors raised a glass to the Queen in celebration of her 92nd birthday with a British street party, a patriotic sing-along and a special afternoon tea which was freshly prepared by the home’s chefs.
Anthony Browne, home manager at Queen’s Court, said: “We had a fantastic day celebrating Care Home Open Day with a special birthday bash for the Queen.
“The residents all really enjoyed the royal-themed activities – the sing-along was a particular highlight! We would like to say a big thank you to the people of Windsor for celebrating the day with us and making it extra special.”
