Welcome to Pinetum

Pinetum is a comfortable purpose-built home in the grounds of the Countess of Chester Hospital. We provide nursing and respite care for older people, including those who are living with the early stages of dementia. We also offer specialist care for adults with complex care needs such as brain and spinal injury.

When your loved one joins us, we will get to know them as an individual. We will create a personalised care and lifestyle plan to support them to live as independently and actively as possible.

As well as having bright, spacious and well-furnished bedrooms, Pinetum has a choice of spacious and inviting lounges and dining rooms where residents can socialise, or simply spend some quiet time relaxing.

I’m always prepared to roll up my sleeves to support the team. I think as a manager you should always be prepared to do that. I’d do anything for my team. We stand together through thick and thin, and I’m very proud of them.

What others have to say

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Pinetum care home.

I know my mother is very happy there. Every time I have been there the staff are polite and courteous. They keep me well informed of what is going on in the home.

Relative of a resident, April 2021

I know she is very happy there and I am happy with the staff there.

Relative of a resident, April 2021

All the girls if they have a minute go in and have a natter with him, they are like his family now.

Relative of resident, November 2019

I am completely happy, as my wife is cared for and loved.

Mr. M.T, Relative of a resident, July 2019

When walking into the home it was like someone putting warm arms around you and saying that they will look after you and your wife. And I know that my wife was well looked after.

Mr William Hale, August 2018
