Residents at our Windsor care home live each day the way they want, with enjoyable group and one-to-one activities tailored to their interests and hobbies.
At Queen’s Court, we understand that, when your loved one is doing things they personally enjoy in an environment where they feel valued, they will be happy and fulfilled. That’s why we find out everything we can about each new resident, so we can help and support them to live each day the way they wish.
Freedom to choose
Was your loved one a proud home maker or gardener for many years, or were they good at DIY? If these tasks still bring them meaning and reassurance, we’ll support them to help with routine jobs around the home. Some residents love the group activities we offer, while others enjoy making new friends from the local community.
One-to-one time is equally important too. So whether your loved one fancies a pamper session, a chat over tea and cake in the coffee shop, or want to attend the local church, we’ll work hard to make it happen.
Everyone loves a change of scene now and again, and our location ensures there’s always somewhere new to explore. The bright lights of London are only a short trip away; historic Runnymede is only a quick minibus trip; Thames river trips are always popular – and, of course, we have a world-famous castle on our doorstep.
During COVID, we’ve done our best to keep life as normal as fulfilling for residents as we can. That’s included adapting activities, such as sports and exercise, so it’s socially distanced and safe, and using home tablets to bring entertainment into the home and stay connected by new means. Of course, when the weather’s good, we’ve also been able to enjoy relaxing and playing games outside in the home’s beautiful garden space.
Fresh and tasty food
Meal times are the highlight of the day at Queen’s Court, when our talented kitchen team serves up a range of delicious and nutritious hot and cold dishes for residents to choose from, including classics like fish and chips, and Sunday roasts, to more exotic curries. The team knows each resident’s likes and dislikes, and is happy to cater for different cultural, dietary or religious needs. Snacks and drinks are available day and night too.
