Meet our friendly care team

It is the people who make our home a truly happy and caring one, and at Salisbury Manor our experienced team of dedicated professionals all undergo our own in-depth training programme. The whole team works to make sure that residents' needs are at the heart of everything they do and that personalised care is provided.

Tracey Pearce

Home Manager

Tracey Pearce

I joined Salisbury Manor because I wanted to make a difference.

Every day is different, and I love how Care UK ensures that residents are living fulfilling lives. It's important that we are not only respectful of each other, but also of the fact that this is the residents’ home, and it is a privilege to support them.

I qualified as a nurse in 2003 – it was such a dream. Even today I feel proud to be a nurse. I have worked in a variety of roles and gained different experiences. Before working at Salisbury Manor, I was a Deputy Ward Sister at New Hall Hospital for two years, and before that I spent 19 years at Salisbury Hospital.

I believe that to be Home Manager, you need to lead by example. We are here to serve residents and make their lives fulfilled, so it’s important to be supportive and ready to listen. You also need to empower the team and help them to learn and grow.

Customer Relations Manager

Before joining the team at Salisbury Manor, I was a Marketing Manager. I’ve previously worked in both the care and financial sectors. I applied for the role at Care UK because I was keen to return to the sector and work for an organisation whose values matched my own.

My role is all about building relationships and trust. To do that, you need to be an excellent communicator, and in particular, have good listening skills. You also need to be caring, have empathy and be able to analyse the situation and be proactive.

I’m here to help families navigate care options and make the transition easier to understand and less like wading through treacle. Ultimately, we’re here to make a positive difference. I love being able to listen to people’s real-life journeys and seeing them live fulfilling lives here.

In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, going to the gym, listening to music and planning holidays somewhere sunny.

Lifestyle Lead

My role at Salisbury Manor is all about making every day matter for residents. Before joining Care UK, I was working as a Chef, but I decided to change careers because I wanted to support older people to live fulfilling lives and make them smile.

As Lifestyle Lead, I believe it’s important to be warm, approachable and imaginative. You need to be able to balance fun with sensitivity and thrive on making a positive difference to people’s lives.

In the team here at Salisbury Manor, we’re part of a family. I feel pride in my work when I see how residents react when I spend time with them. The joy they experience and their appreciation for every little thing I do make this role so rewarding.

Outside of work, I’m very family focused and love to spend time with my two sons. I’ve also recently taken up fishing and enjoy darts too.

Head Chef

I have a level two NVQ in catering and hospitality and was previously sous chef here at Salisbury Manor. When the head chef position came up, I jumped at the chance to apply and am pleased to say I was successful in getting the position.

In my role, you have to be aware of any dietary and nutritional needs residents have. As head chef, it is down to me to lead the team and make sure that we serve high-quality nutritious meals at all mealtimes. You also need to have cooking and planning experience so that there’s variety.

It is always very rewarding to see residents enjoy the dishes we’ve prepared. For the team here, another highlight is that we have achieved a five-star EHO (environmental health) score, which is the highest you can get.

I spend my time outside of work with my family and I also enjoy swimming.

Business Administrator

Before becoming a business administrator at Salisbury Manor, I was a human resources (HR) manager. As a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) HR associate, I also have training in recruitment and payroll.

I joined Care UK because I wanted to put my experience and knowledge to good use, and because of Care UK’s values and reputation for quality of care.

One of my favourite parts of the day is our daily team catch-up where we talk about what needs to be done. It feels great when you can tick off all the jobs on your to-do list, knowing that every task has been completed to the best of your ability.

Outside of work, keeping up with my five grandchildren keeps me busy. They range from age 10 all the way up to 18. I also enjoy weekend theatre breaks and sunny holidays in Spain.

We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful home very soon.

Team Leader

I’ve found Care UK to be one of the best healthcare providers to work for.

Caring is the core of what we do at Salisbury Manor. I enjoy helping others – whether that’s helping a resident settle in and enjoy everything there is to offer at Salisbury Manor or encouraging a team member to be the best they can be.

You need to be caring, empathetic and have plenty of patience when working in care as a Team Leader. My favourite part of the day is interacting with the residents in a friendly and fun setting.

I was lucky to take part in training new colleagues in dementia care when working at Salisbury Manor before its refurbishment, and I’ve enjoyed training new team members during their induction days. I look forward to continuing to learn as much as possible to become the best I can be.

Head Housekeeper

Before joining Salisbury Manor, I was working as an Assistant Hotel Manager. I was excited to join Care UK because of the care home’s good reputation.

As Head Housekeeper, you need good attention to detail, organisational skills and a hard-working attitude to lead your team. Keeping the home clean and infection free is the most important part of my role.

I also believe it’s important to command the respected of my team. I’m proud to lead them, as they do a super job and are lovely ladies to work with.

My favourite part of my working day is speaking to the residents of Salisbury Manor.

Maintenance Manager

I have more than 20 years of experience in building maintenance, both in hands-on and management roles. Salisbury Manor has a good reputation in the local area, and I was keen to join Care UK because of the perks, benefits and career opportunities available for colleagues.

The most important part of my role is to make sure the building is safe, secure and well-presented for residents, visitors and colleagues. I want residents to be happy in their home.

In this role, you need drive, high standards and maintenance knowledge. It also helps to have a sense of humour and a cheeky smile! Chatting with residents and building connections is my favourite part of the job.

I take pride in my work, and I’m proud that Salisbury Manor looks very well-kept. A high point in my career was being nominated for maintenance in national care home awards in London. I didn’t win, but being nominated was an honour.

When I’m not working, I enjoy history, painting models and visiting museums.

Nurses

The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.
