Meet our friendly care team

The dedicated and experienced team at Scoonie House provides your loved one with care that’s completely tailored to their individual needs and wishes.

Melanie MacDonald

Home Manager

I ensure that the residents have the possibility to participate in the day-to-day running of the home to ensure that they we know what’s important to them and that they’re receiving the care and attention they need.

I enjoy developing ways to promote the residents’ rights and responsibilities and provide information, advice and support not only to the residents but also to their families. I’m also creating opportunities for residents to contribute to the local community and access local services, giving them a sense of freedom and belonging.

Having been at Scoonie House since 2005, I have a vast knowledge and understanding of our home and residents.
