Meet our friendly care team

The dedicated and experienced team at Steep House provides your loved one with care that's completely tailored to their individual needs and wishes.

Lijo Renji

Home Manager

Lijo Renji

I began my career as a nurse before moving into management, combining practical experience in health and social care with a strategic approach to leadership.

At Steep House, my focus is on delivering high-quality, personalised care, working closely with residents, their families, and friends to build a supportive community. The dedication and compassion of our team makes me incredibly proud to be the Manager here.

I would describe myself as honest, cheerful, and genuinely caring. My goal is to ensure residents feel valued, happy, and fulfilled in their daily lives. Taking time to listen to their needs and making them smile is, to me, the most rewarding part of this role. I firmly believe every resident should have the chance to live their life according to their own wishes, and I am committed to supporting them in this journey.

Leading our team is a privilege and a responsibility I take to heart. Together, we create a warm, welcoming environment that feels like home, where every resident receives the respect, attention, and individualised care they truly deserve.

Kerry Dale
Kerry Dale
Lifestyle Lead
I've worked in care for over 12 years, including roles in community care and nursing home care, and have been a Lifestyle Lead for the past four years.

I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and completed my Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship with distinction. I love creating moments of joy and laughter for residents and supporting their wellbeing through meaningful activities and experiences.

Building relationships with residents and their families is the most rewarding part of my role, and I enjoy working with colleagues across the home to make every day special.

Head Chef
I have 17 years' experience working in residential care and take great pride in preparing fresh, nutritious meals that residents can enjoy every day.

Seeing residents happy with their meals and working as part of a supportive team is what I love most about my role.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, baking, trying new recipes and walking in the woods to relax and enjoy nature.

Our experienced teams

Every day Care UK colleagues live our values of passionate, caring and teamwork to empower residents to enjoy fulfilling lives.

Carers

Our hardworking teams always keep individuals and their families at the heart of the care they provide. We work with you to shape the care your loved one receives, the food they’re served, the activities and experiences they want to do – even the ways they prefer to keep in touch with their friends and family.

Home support roles

From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.

All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes.

Infection control

Every colleague receives training in infection prevention and control as part of their induction and updates regularly through online and in-person learning. Our dedicated IPC Champions in each home help embed safe working practices and raise awareness of hygiene standards.

Nurses

The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.

Lifestyle

Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.
