Our Team

Kimberley Fisher
Kimberley Fisher
Assistant General Manager
I have ten years of experience working in care and hold a level three NVQ in health and social care.

I have also had palliative care and dementia care training.

Before my current role, I was Night Care Manager. Progressing to Assistant General Manager has been a highlight and I’m proud that through hard work and commitment, I’ve been trusted with greater responsibility and leadership.

To do this job well, you need to have strong leadership skills and be able to motivate people while also creating a positive working environment. I think good communication skills are essential, as is being able to stay calm under pressure. As with any management role, you need to be confident enough to make professional decisions quickly.

Working in the care sector, I think a solid understanding of care standards, compliance and safeguarding are vitally important too.

The best part of my role is without a doubt, spending time with residents. Nothing makes me happier than to see residents happy, comfortable and well cared for. It is particularly heartening to see colleagues working well together to deliver excellent care. On the mentoring side, I enjoy being able to support colleagues and help them develop their skills.

I feel proud of my role here, knowing I can make a positive difference to people’s lives. I genuinely enjoy creating a safe and caring home where everyone feels valued and respected.

I spend my free time with my family – I have three children and two dogs. The dogs are getting older but still enjoy long walks. I also like to cook and go away for long weekends in my camper van.

Sarah Jackson
Lifestyle Lead
Being able to make a difference to a resident’s day and giving them a sense of purpose is one of the most important parts of my role.

It is also important that all residents feel like they belong.

Before becoming Lifestyle Lead, I was a Care Co-ordinator here. You still need to have compassion and empathy, but my new role also needs a creative flare and passion. You also need lots of energy and positivity.

I always enjoy seeing everyone first thing in the morning and I like to have a cup of tea with residents before the day starts. We like to keep a busy planner of activities so there is lots to choose from. Not every activity needs to be big, it is equally important to do simple things that people enjoy.

Once, I helped organised an event to celebrate a resident’s 104th birthday. It was a proud moment seeing the happiness it brought to them and their family.

In my spare time I like to sing with a group of friends. We go to lots of different places to perform.

Laura Enderwick
Laura Enderwick
Business Administrator
My previous roles were in administration where I supported teams and helped ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

I have completed training in care home administration, safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection.

In this role, you need to be organised, approachable, reliable, and professional. It is also really important to be a good communicator and work as part of a team.

My favourite part of the day is being able to help people. I like to take particular care to make sure everything is organised and accurate, working to a high standard is important to me. It always makes me proud knowing that I have helped the home run efficiently and have supported residents, families and colleagues in a positive and professional way.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going out and making the most of my free time.

Michael Oliver
Michael Oliver
Maintenance Officer
I have worked in the maintenance industry for over 30 years.

In that time, I’ve had various roles, and have worked as an engineer, supervisor, and manager. In my last role before joining the team here, I was a manager for an electrical contractor and oversaw remote engineers out on site.

In this job, you need a strong awareness of health and safety. A crucial part of my work is making sure all compliance tasks are done on time, which means you need to be organised, reliable and take responsibility. Other important skills include communication and being able to work under pressure. In this environment, I think empathy is really important too, as is patience.

I am always proud to do my best and I’m happy to go that extra mile for whoever asks me to. I enjoy coming into work every day, the team here is great and I like stopping for a chat with residents and making them smile.

Outside of work, I like to go and watch my daughter play basketball for Worcester University. My son is at Sheffield College, and I enjoy going to watch him play basketball too. When I can, I play darts and watch football.
