Garden party at Elizabeth Lodge

Company news

On Friday 5 June, we held a garden party to celebrate the opening of our new dementia unit and to celebrate our recent two star rating. The honourable mayor of Enfield and MP David Burrowes kindly attended the celebrations along with residents, relatives, staff and representatives from the local PCT and social services.

Our party had a multicultural theme to acknowledge the cultural diversity among our residents and staff. To be in keeping staff dressed up in their national costumes and brought a national dish for everyone to enjoy.

Elizabeth Lodge, located in beautiful grounds, just two miles from Enfield town centre, provides nursing care for older people.

Care UK’s unique approach, Activity Based Care, is designed to ensure residents can stay as fulfilled and independent as possible after moving into a Care UK home. Each resident is supported to succeed with extra help during a huge range of daily tasks, often reflecting their own life history or work experiences, from maintaining a garden to helping with jobs they would normally do in their own home.

Violet Kotu, the Home Manager of Elizabeth Lodge said:
“The whole team at Elizabeth Lodge created a wonderful day for residents, relatives and guests alike.”
