The health centre is welcoming new patient registrations and provides a comprehensive range of regular health services for registered patients, who can make appointments at times which suit their busy lives. The walk-in service will treat all NHS patients without an appointment for minor injuries and ailments, including patients who live locally, visitors and commuters. Both services are located within the same health centre, which is situated in Aspect House, 84-87 Queens Road, near Brighton Railway Station and will be open every day, including all bank holidays.
Care UK and NHS Brighton and Hove are working in partnership to open and run this new facility which provides local people with greater choice about how they access healthcare.
Care UK now operates 11 GP practices and walk-in centres across the UK on behalf of the NHS, fulfilling people’s lives by providing high quality health care to thousands of people in a way that is easy to access and convenient. In recognition of this, Care UK was recently awarded Primary Care Provider of the Year at the HealthInvestor Awards.
Mark Hunt, Managing Director of Care UK Primary Care said, “Care UK is delighted that this new facility opens this week to patients for the first time, giving access to high quality health care to the people of Brighton. Through our partnership with NHS Brighton and Hove, everyone in the area will benefit from greater choice about how they wish to access healthcare facilities and treatment.
“Care UK has an extremely high standard of care in our GP practices and walk in centres across the country, with 94% of our patients rating our walk-in centres as either good or excellent. We are confident that the care at the new centre in Brighton will be of a similarly high standard.”
Darren Grayson, Chief Executive, Brighton and Hove PCT, said: "The establishment of a centrally located GP surgery with extended opening hours, open every day of the year, gives patients more choice about when they can see a doctor. This is great news for local people."
