Emma off to Oz after successful surgery!

Company news

"Thanks to the quick and successful treatment I received at the Treatment Centre I can now go and enjoy my dream holiday to the full!”

Excited Emma Rogers is all set for her first trip to Australia after having her Tonsils removed at Southampton Treatment Centre.

28 year old Emma works as an Administrative Officer at Southampton Solent University, but has been suffering from Tonsillitis since her schooldays.  After going to her GP suffering from a latest bout of severe throat pain, she ended up referred to the Treatment Centre and was advised she needed a Tonsillectomy.

Emma said: “After being told I needed to have my tonsils removed I was really worried due to my upcoming trip to Australia.  In the past I’d always been told I would have to wait months for a procedure, but I was seen by the consultant almost immediately and then booked in for my procedure just over 3 weeks later.”

Throughout the process Emma was impressed with the communication she received from the various staff at the Centre:

“I thought the entire process was handled brilliantly.  I’m quite a forgetful person so getting the reminder phone calls from the Admin staff before each appointment was very helpful for me.  I also had everything explained to me throughout each step of my visit by nurses, anaesthetist and the surgeon, including what level of pain to expect.  This helped me prepare myself and feel relaxed before, during and after the procedure.”

Emma’s parents accompanied her on the day of her surgery and were equally impressed with their experience:

“None of us had ever heard of the Treatment Centre before but we are all so pleased I was referred there.  We were treated like private patients, my room was spotless and the nurses really looked after me and my parents.”

Emma is now off to Australia on a three week travelling trip with her friend, something she is glad she can do without worry: “I was so worried I’d have to either cancel the trip or go in pain.  Thanks to the quick and successful treatment I received at the Treatment Centre I can now go and enjoy my dream holiday to the full!”
