"The staff at the Centre were out of this world!"

Fitness enthusiast Allan Marshall from Eastleigh is back to his fitness regime, after having an Umbilical Hernia operated on at Southampton Treatment Centre.

The Hernia was the result of an injury he suffered in a serious car accident three years before.  Allan had suffered with the pain for a short while and was concerned his problem may get worse and effect his fast paced job.  Due to his concern he visited his GP:

“My GP originally referred me to another hospital in Southampton who then referred me onto the Treatment Centre where I had my pre-assessment done.  The Anaesthetist did not want to book my appointment for my procedure until he had seen and read my medical file thoroughly, but once he had seen my file and was happy that I was fit for surgery, I had my appointment through in under four weeks.”

Allan had been to a few hospitals over the years but was instantly impressed with the Treatment Centre:

“The Treatment Centre was on a par with the private hospitals I’d been to, if not better.  The staff at the Centre were out of this world, I have never been treated in a hospital where the people are so happy to assist you and are full of smiles and humour.  I enthuse about the Treatment Centre to everyone I know and can’t rate it enough.  I loved the attention I received – they would always pop into my room to make sure I was ok and they would make time for a chat.”

Allan had an overnight stay at the Centre and a few weeks on has now made a full recovery:

“The aftercare when I left hospital was great and I am now fit and healthy and am back doing what I enjoy the most – exercising and keeping fit.  Hopefully I won’t have to go back to hospital, but if I do ever need another operation, I would ask to come back to the Treatment Centre.  As well as the people the food was fantastic, tea and coffee were always on offer and the cleanliness of the centre was superb.”
