NHS Centre Open Day

Company news

One of the UK’s leading NHS specialist orthopaedic centres is set to hold another fantastic Open Day. Following the overwhelming success of the last Open Day in spring, which saw more than 500 prospective patients, members of the public and local MP’s attend, the Centre has decided to throw its doors wide open once again.

The Open Day, on Sunday 10th October 2010, will once again give people the opportunity to meet its consultants, have behind-the-scenes tours, take part in mini health checks and enjoy the refreshments which will be on the menu too!

The Open Day is a great opportunity to have a tour of the Chesterfield based Centre which has treated patients countrywide since 2005.  The Centre has treated over 20,000 patients and prides itself on providing the best patient care at its unique facility in friendly and comfortable surroundings. The Centre has never had a case of hospital acquired MRSA.

Graeme Kendall, Manager at Care UK’s Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre said: “Our first Open Day proved to be a huge success, more than we could have ever imagined. Opening our doors for the public really puts people at ease and it demonstrates that patients do have a choice as to where they can be treated. ”

Run by an independent company with an impressive track record in patient care and clinical success, on behalf of the NHS for NHS patients only, the Centre provides day care and inpatient orthopaedic surgery for patients from Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. The Centre, is situated less than one mile from Junction 30 of the M1 which makes it very accessible and the parking is free.
