Former NHS employee praises Treatment Centre care

Mrs A Bonner, wrote a letter of thanks on behalf of herself and her husband, David, who came to the Centre for a Knee Replacement.

Having been an employee of the National Health Service and my husband and I having had the experience of receiving treatment from other NHS hospitals, I feel I must write to congratulate your organisation on the way your Treatment Centre is run.  We were most impressed with the exceptionally high standard of care and cleanliness prevalent throughout the areas of the hospital for which your are responsible.

People are always ready to criticise service or any kind, but I wish to thank your Consultant/Surgeons/Medical Staff/General Staff and all those that I had the pleasure of meeting just recently when my husband was hospitalised at the Royal South Hants Hospital, Treatment Centre.  He was seen initially by Mr Zakaria, Orthopaedic Consultant and subsequently was operated on by Mr Fabula for a knee replacement of the right knee.

Their care and kindness to my husband as the patient and to myself as a very nervous wife cannot be faulted in any way.  This service was also extended to us even after my husband left hospital, on the occasions when he was in pain and called the hospital for help.  The medical team and in particular, the physiotherapist that cared for my husband, were extremely caring.  I go so far as to say, we have never had such good treatment even from private healthcare, which we have sometimes, had to avail ourselves of.

I do hope your organisation will continue to service the residents of Southampton, and hopefully the word of your standard of efficiency and cleanliness will spread around the country and we will see your firm having wards in other NHS Trust Hospitals through out the UK.
