St Mary's NHS Treatment Centre is giving people considering a career in healthcare a chance to find out about opportunities in the city and across the UK.
The Treatment Centre, on Milton Road, which is run by Care UK on behalf of NHS Portsmouth, the city's primary care trust, is hosting a Job Fair on Wednesday 18 May from 7.30pm – 9:00pm. As well as taking a tour of the treatment centre and speaking with staff currently working at the centre, the fair will showcase the vacancies available within Care UK’s health care services nationally, with job application forms available for visitors to apply for suitable roles while they are onsite.
Care UK is a leading independent provider of health and social care services in the UK. The health care division operates eight independent sector treatment centres, GP practices, NHS walk-in centres, urgent care centres and out-of-hours services, as well as highly innovative Clinical Assessment and Treatment Services, diagnostic screening and offender health services. Roles available across the health care division range from frontline staff such as nurses, GPs and health care assistants, specialists such as sonographers, radiographers and theatre nurses, to administrative and housekeeping roles.
“The Job Fair at St Mary’s is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants to work in healthcare, or is thinking about a change of career, to get a feel for the services our treatment centres offer patients, the roles we offer and what it’s like to work for a leading independent health care provider,” said Penny Daniels, general manager at St Mary’s Treatment Centre, Care UK. “Our staff will be on hand to share their own experiences, their day to day activities and their future prospects within the organisation.”
“We pride ourselves on delivering the very best care for our patients, whatever health care treatment they require. To do this, we need dedicated, professional, proactive people. If you think you have all the characteristics required, please come along and find out more about the roles that are available, which could be right for you.”
