Treatment centre voted among top in country

North East London NHS Treatment Centre has been rated among the best in the country according to the views of patients.

Independently run by Care UK on behalf of the NHS, the treatment centre scored 97 points out of 100 for the levels of respect and dignity patients received from the team of staff and doctors. This was higher than the average score for the top 20 per cent of hospitals in the country – which worked out at 90 points.

The independent survey, carried out for the Department of Health, asked patients to rate all aspects of their hospital experience including cleanliness, quality of food and the level of care received.

98 per cent of patients at North East London NHS Treatment Centre also said they would recommend the centre to a friend.

Paul Attwal, general manager, said: “This is fantastic news for the treatment centre and for people in the North East London area.

“To get such positive feedback from the patients themselves is a real testament to the outstanding levels of care and services we provide to our NHS patients.

“The staff are very proud of their service and it’s always good to hear that patients value our services highly.”

Patient Leon Smith, 51, from Upminster, Essex, who attended the treatment centre for general surgery, said: “The whole experience was wonderful with no stress, I kept well informed at every stage. The nursing staff were superb.”
