Making wishes come true

As part of Dignity Action Day, residents at Hinton Grange wrote their wishes on leaves and attached them to a wish tree in the foyer - staff pledged that they would make the dreams come true throughout the year.

Who could have guessed that, a few days later, Carol Jackson’s wish to make a snowman would come true. As four inches of snow fell around the Bullen Close home, Carol and the team planned what type of snowman they would make.

Manager Sam Lambourne said: “Everyone got wrapped up in warm clothes and had a lot of fun. We are planning a year of activities, but it was lovely to make a wish come true so quickly. We have taken lots of pictures and we will put one on the tree to show that the wish has been achieved.”

Carol said: “It was perfect.”
