Time for a cuppa – Hinton Grange raises funds for dementia charity

Company news

Residents at Care UK’s Hinton Grange are opening their home to the public to raise money for Dementia UK as part of Time for a Cuppa day, on Monday 27th February.

Time for a Cuppa is about bringing people together across the country to hold an event at home, in the workplace or in the community to help raise much-needed funds to support the work of Dementia UK, a charity dedicated to improving life for people with dementia.

Sam Lambourne, who manages the 56-bed home in Bullen Close, said: “Our kitchen team, staff and residents will be making cakes to sell on the day.

“Everyone is welcome to join us between 2.30-4.30pm. Entry costs £1 and comes with a cuppa and there will be lots of tasty cakes and treats to eat here or take away.”

Hinton Grange provides nursing and residential care for people with dementia and mental health illnesses and it has a specialist unit for residents with physical problems such as Huntingdon’s and Parkinson’s disease, or who have experienced strokes, where physiotherapists work on helping them to regain or maximise their mobility.
