A fun day out in style

Company news

Cherry Orchard residents arrived in style when they visited the Van Hage garden centre, thanks to one of the home’s many friends in the community who lent the a limousine for the outing.

The trip to Great Amwell was smooth and cool and residents arrived feeling suitably pampered and relaxed. Everyone enjoyed some tea and biscuits and then it was out into the gardens to admire the beautiful flowers and plants.

The residents were also delighted to meet some of the centre’s birds and animals in the garden. There were all sorts including meerkats, marmosets and raccoons. There was also George, a giant African spurred tortoise who at nine years old is still growing!

After that it was back into the centre for lunch and after such a good walk around the gardens, everyone managed to squeeze in dessert too.

Home Manager, Esther Enwezor, said: “Everyone had a wonderful time. The home was full of laughter and chatter about the different plants and animals they had seen and their posh ride.”
