Care UK acquires supported living service in Lancashire and Salford

Company news

Care UK has today (10th April) announced that it has acquired a local supported living service for adults with learning disabilities in Lancashire and Salford.

Care UK purchased Living Ambitions from Peter Watson for an undisclosed sum.  It provides support services for over 50 people living in around 25 different locations.

Living Ambitions began life as part of the Watson Healthcare Group in 1989, developing into a bespoke service provider for individuals of all ages in local communities in the north west of England. Living Ambitions supports people with a range of complex needs, including learning disability, autism spectrum conditions inc. Aspergers syndrome, mental health conditions, sensory impairments and physical disabilities.

Health and social care provider Care UK has a strong track record of supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions across the UK so the acquisition is a natural fit with its existing services.

Spokesperson Libby Eastley commented: “We were particularly impressed by the strong emphasis that the Living Ambitions team places on personalised, compassionate care.  It matches our dedication to designing community based care pathways that enable people to reach their full potential and to lead rewarding, fulfilled lives. We have been very impressed with the employees that we’ve met so far and I would like to welcome them into the Care UK family.”
