Pie, mash and liquor help us celebrate St George’s Day

A knees up, sing-along and pie and mash helped Cherry Orchard to celebrate St George’s Day, on April 23rd, and we were joined for the fun by many of our friends and relatives.

Entertainment for the celebrations was provided by popular singer Mick Ryan and the kitchen team pulled out all the stops with their wonderful pie, mash and liquor.

Thelma Otuniga and Kerry Pereira, our Activities Coordinators, said: “As most of our residents come from the London area the pie and mash went down a storm and they were up very quickly to dance along with their favourite traditional songs.

“Everyone had a really great time and the home looked very wonderful decked out in white and red flags and bunting.”
