We say a very fond farewell to Sandra

There were tears, smiles and laughter recently as the team said farewell to Sandra West, who has been at Little Holland Hall since the door opened 24 years ago.

Sandra retired recently and her colleagues were determined to give her a good send off to thank her for her years of dedication and care.

Regional Director Violet Kotu came to the presentation and personally gave Sandra a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champagne. She also presented Sandra with a £250 high street voucher from Care UK, as recognition of her 24 years as a carer.

Sandra was joined for her presentation and last day send off by residents and past and current colleagues who wanted to wish her well in her retirement.

Michael Parris, Clinical Lead Nurse, said: "Sandra is a genuinely lovely person and a truly dedicated carer. She is immensely popular with her colleagues and residents alike and she always gives that extra little bit of time and attention to everybody.

“I am pleased we were able to give her such a special send off, I know she was touched by all the kind cards and messages and I hope she keeps in touch and tells us all about what she is up to in her new-found free time."
