Grangewood Day Club

Home news

A NEW day club service has been launched at Grangewood.

The club will enable people to use the home’s facilities between 10am and 4pm throughout the week.

Samantha Rogan, of Grangewood, said: ”This is an exciting new venture which is available to the whole community.

“The day club will give people a chance to sample life in a care home. If they are thinking of  moving into a residential home, this is an ideal way to try it out without any commitment before making a choice.

“People coming along for the day will be able to enjoy our facilities and take part in the various activities our staff run, from gardening and bakery through to arts and crafts and other occupational therapies.

“Every other week, we arrange trips out in our minibus and they will also be available to day club members.

“It will also provide a break for carers, who can take a rest while their loved one spends some time with us.”

Grangewood opened in 2005 and can be home for up to 50 people. It offers residential and specialist care for people living with dementia.

For more information about the day club, contact Samantha Rogan on 01913 790 320.
