Forty residents, relatives and team members recently boarded two mini buses for a trip to the seaside at Brightlingsea and everyone enjoyed a great traditional day out.
Brightlingsea is a very popular place with everyone at Tall Trees and many residents have visited it many times throughout their lives and they are always delighted when we have a trip planned.
Activities Coordinator Verity Tofts said: “It was a great day out and it was lovely to hear residents and their relatives reminiscing about trips they had made before.
“We set up a gazebo in the Millennium Park and we all enjoyed our fish and chips from Winkies and a Mr Whippy ice-cream before we headed down to the beach to walk off our lunch. I tried having a paddle but the sea was far too cold to stay in for long.”
There was lots of fun on the beach too with our over-sized beach ball and fun and games and everyone slept very well when we got home in the evening!
