A reggae good time

We all enjoyed a tea dance with a difference this week as we were joined by Leon and his reggae group for an afternoon packed with music, dancing and tea.

Our Manager Diana Wiltshire said: “It was a truly great afternoon. Members of our Active Living Club didn’t want to go home they were having so much fun!

“The band, which consisted of Leon singing on the drums and two guitarists, had everyone up and dancing with classic reggae numbers as well as popular songs from the 1970s and 80s.

“Those residents that were seated had a good time singing along and dancing in their chairs. Everyone had such a good time we even received a thank you bouquet from one club member.”

As well as great music everyone also enjoyed a wonderful spread of homemade cakes provided by our kitchen team and we tried a special range of six teas provided, as a gift, by PG Tips, Care UK’s preferred supplier of tea.

Diana said: “In all the excitement and dancing we forgot to take any photos but do visit our site again to see what we have been up to during the summer.”
