Welcome to Tiltwood

Tiltwood is a family-oriented and welcoming care home in Cobham, Surrey. We provide personalised residential and respite care for older people, including those who are living with dementia.

Part of our building dates to Edwardian times, which gives the home a sense of character. Your loved one’s bedroom will be bright and comfortable, with modern furniture as well as television and internet connections and a 24-hour nurse call system.

The home is divided into different suites, each of which has a lounge and a dining room, plus a kitchenette. We also have an activity room, a quiet room, a tea room and a hair salon. Outside are secure and spacious gardens, with different interconnected areas for your loved one to explore.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

At Tiltwood we support residents to be as independent as possible. Some residents enjoy helping around the home and in the garden, while others socialise and take part in activities together. We run a busy programme of activities, including art sessions, baking, film afternoons and reminiscence sessions.

The care team is wonderful, and I feel very reassured every time I visit. They don’t dismiss my loved one because he has an illness, but they don’t make excuses for him either. They encourage him and reassure him. They talk to him with compassion and understanding, but they talk to him as the man that he is, he is not just another resident to them!

They understand how difficult it can be for the relatives seeing their loved ones become so dependent. They always make me feel so welcome and they have been incredibly supportive to me personally. They will often come and sit with me and my loved one when I visit. We play games together and chat. They keep in contact with me and let me know if there are any upcoming events. They make me feel like I'm part of the home.

It happened very quickly when my loved one had to go into care, and everyone was so kind and supportive from the start. They treat the residents like their own relatives, and I've seen nothing but kindness from the team. Everyone knows the residents personally and they are treated with the utmost respect... they have complete freedom to be themselves and to do as they please. The team is there to support them and to comfort them, not to restrict them in any way... they provide companionship and security.
