Oh dear, deer!

Home news

We recently enjoyed a very special day out at Whitworth Hall, in Spennymoor, where we met some new and very deer friends.

It was our first trip to the hall and the highlight for everyone was the deer enclosure. Our manager, Louise Damms, said: “Bags of food are available to buy and feed to the herd of fallow deer kept in the enclosure.

“Everyone had a wonderful time feeding the animals and, as you can see in the photograph, Annie Porter made a particular friend who was very interested to see what food she had in her bag!”

The trip was so popular we are already trying to find diary dates for a return visit and Annie was so delighted with the photograph that we have made an A4 copy which now takes pride of place in her room.

Keep watching this site for more photos from our summer adventures.
