Our summer of fun gets off to a great start

Home news

The sun shone down on our summer fete on Saturday, bringing with it lots of smiles and visitors and setting the scene for weeks of fun and entertainment.

As well as stalls selling a variety of clothes, shoes, gifts and items for summer, there were plenty of opportunities to enjoy being pampered.

Our manager Florence Clarke said: “One of the team was offering the Indian hair removal treatment threading, which proved very popular and people could also enjoy hand and foot massages. Our residents and their relatives had a wonderful time, so much so it has been suggested that we do it on a monthly basis.”

There was also a very successful tombola with residents, relatives and members of the team scooping a number of prizes.

On Saturday 10th August we hold our next event, which promises to be a colourful and lively occasion. Florence said: “From 11am we will be holding a barbecue and fashion show in our grounds.

“As well as current fashions, there will be a display of cultural costumes and the chance to try food from the many nations represented in our home.”

On Wednesday 21st August we will carry on our theme of cross-cultural celebration with our International Day. Florence said: “This is a very popular event at Lennox House as we all get to dress in our national costumes and share and celebrate the best of our communities.”

Keep an eye on this site for photographs from our events.
