St. Peter’s Court launches new respite care service

We have launched a new respite care service which will offer people the chance to use the home’s facilities between 8am and 8pm throughout the week. Overnight accommodation can also be arranged if rooms are available at the time. The service can be booked on an hourly basis and has been designed to offer high quality care for older people living with dementia whilst giving their family carers some valuable respite time.

Regina Mparutsa, our manager said: “This is an exciting new venture which is available to the whole community. The respite service will offer people the chance to enjoy high-quality care and assistance, even if they are not ready to move into a care home.”

“People coming along for the day will be able to enjoy our facilities and take part in the various activities our team run, from gardening and bakery through to arts and crafts and other occupational therapies. It will also provide a valuable break for carers, who can take a rest while their loved one spends some time with us.”
