We put on the kettle and put our best foot forward for tea dance fun

Our 1950s tea dance held on Tuesday involved all of our residents’ favourite things – music, dancing, tea and cake! The event was held in our Terrace cafe and was a tremendous success!

Care UK’s preferred supplier PG Tips kindly provided us with a selection of six different flavoured teas and a CD of 1950s music. Each of the different teas was served in a teapot with its own unique knitted tea cosy.

As part of the event we set a challenge for residents and guests to see if they could guess the flavour of the different teas and the winner who guessed the most flavours won a polka dot teapot and matching cup.

Everyone enjoyed tasting the different teas which were accompanied by cream cakes, chocolate shortbread and fresh fruit. The 1950s music was very popular and we had a good  sing-a-long and a dance to round up the afternoon.
