Cairdean House, in Colinton, Edinburgh, provides a wide range of quality care for older people in stunning surroundings.
The team at our 90-bedroom care home provides nursing, residential and respite care for older people, including those living with dementia. The home itself was designed by internationally renowned architect, Richard Pollock, to the latest in dementia design standards. There’s a homely, welcoming atmosphere at Cairdean House, with many inviting spaces for residents to relax in and spend time with friends and family. In fact, 'Cairdean' is Scottish Gaelic for 'friends and family'.
The care home is arranged into nine suites, each with a communal lounge and dining area. The suites are named after local people and places and the decoration is inspired by the Scottish countryside. Each room has en-suite facilities and is beautifully furnished.
