Darlington Court takes on a garden challenge

Home news

Care UK’s Darlington Court care home in Littlehampton took part in a gardening challenge to help transform the home’s gardens ready for the summer.

Colleagues from both Care UK’s support office and those who work within the home were joined by the residents and their families in the garden on the day. Nothing stopped the team from getting the garden finished; they even worked through showers of rain!

“Even the smallest change in the home really makes a difference to the residents” began Eileen Coyle-Jones, the home’s operations and support manager “the work that has been done here today hasn’t only made for a great day, but will give something for the resident’s to enjoy for the months to come.”

Flower beds were de-weeded, plants were potted and the fences were given a bright and fresh lick of paint. Everyone chipped in to get the job done and the day was finished with a glass of wine in the newly refreshed garden.
