It’s All in a Name: Care UK Calls on Sevenoaks Residents to Lend a Helping Hand

Care UK is calling upon Sevenoaks residents to lend a helping hand to their new neighbours, by suggesting names for its multi million pound care home that will open in the town in early 2017.

Care UK would like the help of the local community to compile a list of names for the home that have cultural or historical reference to the area. The names will then be whittled down by Care UK’s team on site in Sevenoaks, with one lucky winner not only naming the home located on Bourchier Close but also receiving restaurant vouchers to the value of £200. 

Justin Daley, Construction Manager at the home, said: “As we gear up to start work on the new care home in Sevenoaks, we want to get to know the community a little better through this competition to name the home. 

“All of our care homes are named after things, people and places that are part of local history, as this creates endless opportunities for residents to reminisce about the local area. We’re looking forward to receiving name suggestions for our latest home from the people of Sevenoaks.” 

The new care home, which will feature 80 ensuite bedrooms, has been sensitively designed to provide a high quality environment for the provision of full time residential care, specialist dementia care, nursing, and short term respite care.
