Plan your care for the future at Eye care home

Home news

Residents in Eye who are considering long-term care for themselves or a loved one are invited to attend a free event at Hartismere Place, where they will receive expert advice on planning care for the future.

The free event will be held on Tuesday, September 20 from 10am to 12.30pm, and will include practical advice from Later Life Adviser, Steve Hendrie and Lorna Denton-Cardew from Jackmans Solicitors.

The speakers will provide an overview of the options for funding long-term care, outline legal considerations such as making a will and power of attorney, as well as offering their expertise during a Q&A session. The event will also provide an opportunity to meet the friendly team at Hartismere Place and take a look around the purpose-built care home and adjacent Hartismere Club, which provides flexible day care for older people living locally. Complimentary refreshments will also be provided.

Cathryn Weed, home manager at Hartismere Place, said: “Planning care for yourself or a loved one can be a difficult and confusing time. We hope our free event will help older people and their relatives to better understand the process of arranging long-term care, and to feel more confident to make the right decisions when the time comes.”
