Resident’s at Bowes House in Hailsham were entertained when veteran magician, 90-year-old John Palfreyman performed at the care home.
John Palfreyman, a natural-born performer, has been entertaining audiences for over 75 years. He impressed residents with a traditional magic show including sleight of hand card tricks and impressive illusions.
Home manager at Bowes House, Helena Barrow, said: “We were thrilled to have a visit from John Palfreyman, the magic show proved to be a real success and you could see from residents’ reactions just how excited they were by the chance to see the tricks up close.
“We are really grateful to John Palfreyman’s son Martin, who is a head of activities here at Bowes House. He took time out of his holiday to bring his father along to perform for the residents. Ensuring residents continue to lead fulfilled lives is very important to us and it was fantastic to see the smiles on everyone’s faces.”
